Jalapeño Cheddar Protein Bagels

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of cottage cheese

  • 1 jalapeño

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup of SELF RISING flour (sub gluten-free flour)

  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions:

  1. Start with preheating the oven to 375 degrees

  2. Shred cheddar cheese & chop jalapeño (I de-seed mine)

  3. In a bowl, combine diced jalapeño & cheddar

  4. If using cottage cheese, I blended until smooth (it makes preparing the dough easier) 1 cup of cottage cheese and 1 cup of self-rising flour into the bowl with the other ingredients. Knead together until dough forms (it's sticky, but don’t be scared, keep kneading.)

  5. Form into a ball and then cut the dough into four even pieces. Roll the dough out and form a bagel shape

  6. Scramble one egg & paint your bagel so the toppings stick.

  7. Add extra jalapeño slices & cheese for garnish.

  8. Bake at 375 for 20–25 minutes till golden brown
