Garlic-Sage Brussel Sprouts with Toasted Almonds

Ingredients:

  • Ingredients:

    • 1-1.5 lbs brussel sprouts

    • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

    • 1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic

    • 2 tbsp butter

    • Fresh sage, finely chopped

    • 1/3 cup of sliced almonds

    • Optional: Lemon juice, light drizzle of maple syrup/honey, sprinkle of parmesan cheese

    • Seasonings:

      • 1/2 tsp salt & pepper

      • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • Directions:

    1. Roast your sprouts: Preheat oven to 425. Toss quartered Brussel sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Spread them cut side down on a baking sheet. Cover with tinfoil and let cook for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook for an additional 10 minutes for crispiness.

    2. Toast your almonds: Add almonds to a skillet over medium heat. Toast for 3-5 minutes, stirring often until lightly golden.

    3. Make your garlic-sage butter: In a small skillet, melt your butter. Stir in 1 1/2 tbsp of minced garlic and chopped sage. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes.

    4. Finish it: Toss the hot roasted Brussel sprouts with the toasted almonds and garlic-sage butter.

    5. Optional: Finish with a squeeze of lemon or a tiny drizzle of honey/maple syrup, or parmesan cheese!
